A few minutes in the life of Rehanyn

Rehanyn is so lonely now that Tristan is in school that she now thinks that Mommy's only job is to entertain her. I thought I'd share how just a few minutes with Rehanyn goes:

R: mommy, are you sleeping
M: yes, honey--climb up in bed with me
R: can we watch noggin?
M: sure, get me the remote
R: here's the remote--I wanna watch noggin momma, please turn on noggin momma, can you turn on noggin please, please momma
M: here--now sit still and let mommy rest
R: ok, mommy, have a good sleep
(less than 30 seconds later)
R: mommy can I have salami and white cheese for lunch, and red cheetos and some diet coke-coke? (she only eats the regular orange cheetos but for some reason has decided they are red)
M: not now Re, it's only 7:30 in the morning--you just had breakfast
R: oh, yeah, sorry, mommy
R: Can we go to Red Robin for mac n cheese
M: Rehanyn, we'll have to see--let mommy sleep for a little bit longer
R: oh, I forgot, sorry
(maybe 2 minutes later)
R: Mommy can I eat lunch out with you and sit in daddys chair and have salami, white cheese, turkey, red cheetos, and diet coke-coke?
(I decide to just get up)
R: Can I watch tv out with you?
M: Sure
R: can you turn on noggin, where is the remote, I want to watch noggin mommy, I really want to watch noggin, where is noggin mommy, can you put on noggin?
M: Please chill, Re--give me a minute
R: Oh, sorry
(maybe 1 minute later)
R: so mommy, are you gonna get up and take a shower and get dressed and then we can go to Kroger and get salami and white cheese and turkey, and then go to Red Robin and get mac n cheese, and then come home and go to sleep in your bed, and you can sleep with me, and I can have a snack after I wake up, and mommy look, it's Miss Spider's Sunny Patch
M: Re, give me a sec to wake up--it's not even close to time to eat so just sit and watch Miss Spider's Sunny Patch, okay
R: Oh, sorry
R: Momma, what are you doing? Are you working on the computer? Can I play on the computer and push the buttons? are you gonna get up and take a shower, and get dressed and then we can go to Kroger.................

and on and on it goes

Is it bad to tell your kid to just be quiet and please, pretty please leave you alone for just 5 minutes? Cause that's what I did and for the next 5 minutes I "shush"ed her any time she opened her mouth. OOOPS bad mommy alert, huh.

Anyone want an extremely talkative 4 year old??? I'll let you borrow her--you'll just have to keep her at least 4 hours or so. (you won't want to talk again the rest of the week....) :-) I love her to death but man, some days I really wanna gag her :-)

Monday, October 27

I so, absolutely, did NOT...

In the last week I:

*Did NOT have a 5 pm meeting at work on monday and then work all night
*Did NOT have a class at 7:30 am on tuesday, then a meeting at 9 am, then taught a class at 6 pm, and THEN worked all night (I got about 4 hours of interrupted sleep)
*Did NOT have a meeting at 7:30 am on Wednesday, then dropped the car off to be inspected, then went to visit with mom while the car was being inspected, then to bed, then a meeting at 6:30 pm and THEN couldn't fall asleep until 3am
*Did NOT have Jason let me sleep in until 9:15 and then just let Rehanyn get into bed with me and watch TV while I slept until 10:30, then Rehanyn and I went to Party City, Red Robin for lunch, and Hobby Lobby, then we laid down for a nap (only way Re will sleep usually) and mommy napped but not Re, then made beef and noodles for dinner, made 3 hooded towels (the girls ones turned out so cute--I wish I got pictures) and once again couldn't go to sleep until 2 am.
*Did NOT wake up at 7am because I had a 3 tier cake to make for a baby shower at work.
*Did NOT finish baking the cakes at 11:30 just to realize I had to go to the store to buy eggs and powdered sugar for the icing.
*Did NOT finally finish decorating the cakes at 3pm just in time to crawl in bed for a VERY short nap until having to get up to take the cakes to work for the baby shower at 5:30pm
*Did NOT have to work all night on very little sleep with 2 very vocal nurses who gave my poor sleepless head a raging headache!!! I did NOT thank God that Wanissa was there to keep me sane!
*Did NOT have to go back to work the next night and work with those same 2 nurses who talked about topics that I never wanted to know about regarding their personal lives.
*Did NOT go home with another raging headache due to the same vocal nurses.
*Did NOT go home, give my kids Special K bars for breakfast and climb directly into bed so I could finish my book and go to sleep.
*Did NOT have to go back to work that night so I could spend another shift with one of those vocal nurses who once again gave me a raging headache. I did NOT thank God that at least they weren't both there to have to listen to.
*Did NOT come home and wrap myself up in my heated throw and watch Ghost Whisperer and Extreme Home Makeover until 10:30 and then crawl into bed and apparently go to sleep with my glasses on so that Jason had to try to take my glasses off without waking me at 2:45 when he came home to pick up Adreyn and Tristan from school.
*Did NOT make beef and noodles again tonight (Jason did request it and the kids do love it) and then not watch it closely so it stuck to the bottom of the pan (just a little bit :-{)
*Did NOT just spend a couple hours on Facebook Groups
*Did NOT just spend time writing this post and shaking my head about how screwed up my life is :-)

Enjoy the pictures of the cake for the baby shower

New Kid Pics

I wonder......

.....what happens when a 9 year old is listening to her iPod and asking silly questions and then quickly turns around...and then slams her face into the corner of the wall???????

besides this nice bruise on her chin she also has a sore nose and a sore spot on her forehead. Wonder who she gets the clutzy's from?????

Saturday, October 4

What have I been doing???

Well, I've organized all the kids dresser drawers (and changed up where things go--just to confuse Jason a little :-) It's more fun that way!) I've purged clothes out of those same drawers and filled them up with all the clothes that still fit and are for cooler weather (whenever it deigns to show up). In purging all those clothes I have now gotten a huge amount of clothes to sell on ebay. So I am now organizing all those clothes, photographing them, downloading the photos to the computer and then to auctiva (a great website for auction layouts), and getting ready to put them on ebay. Suffice it to say that my living room is a bit trashed. However the kids rooms look great!!!

CCA finally came on Friday and picked up all the leftovers from the garage sale so we can park in the garage again--yea!!!!!

We went shopping last night and got new pants for Tristan as he has outgrown most of his. We also found some pajamas for both Tristan and Rehanyn.

That's about it for this week. On to next week--my busy work week.........

Wednesday, October 1

$415.83

Guess what I bought for $415.83.........Any guesses????????????? Anything??????????

Well...

I...

Bought.....

...

......

.......

..........

***********GROCERIES*******************

Man, I wish it was something more exciting :-)

For that much money I could have bought.....Top of the line KitchenAid Mixer.....a cheap dishwasher......Some really cute clothes for me.......a new fishtank (instead of the used one Jason wants to put up).......a treadmill.........paid to take my RNC (and had money left over)..........an iPhone..........a lot of books..........a maid..............a Zune...............lots of funnel cakes at the State Fair......something I really don't need...........another laptop................etc, etc.

Plus--I got to take Rehanyn grocery shopping today....luckily she was really good and helped alot--of course she like to throw--yes, literally throw--items into the cart. Doesn't work great with bread, chips, ketchup bottles, etc. Plus, I'm picky and did manage to get all $400 of groceries in one cart--that's one thing I can do is organize. Of course once they're bagged the groceries do take up 2 carts but at least I don't have to pull 2 carts around the store--that would not be fun!!!

Okay--enough about my groceries--just don't expect me to be rolling in money :-) It all went to the groceries, people....

Hope you have a great day!!!!
